Barbour
Fit for a King
i was approached by Barbour to create a few foldable waxing stations with the idea that some would travel the country in various stores and one would stay in the Barbour Museum at Barbour HQ

The Concept
i came up with a concept drawing with the help of Mark from Barbour and then got to creating.

Ready to fill
Two stations ready to be filled with empty Dummy wax pots

Testing the display
carefully lining up and spacing of the wax tins to make sure our pre planning for sizes worked out correctly.

Test
once they where filled the first one was sent to the factory to make sure everything worked as planed with custom built waxing tables to be inserted

Prep to ship
two more of the stations , stained, waxed and prepped for shipping with the "removable tins" placed on there side to show installed where the hidden fixings would slot

All packed and ready to go
Collection time as the first few where sent off across the country

Number 1
The First of the build stayed at home in South Shields where it is homed at Barbour HQ Museum

The Royal Visit
Then Prince and now King Charles came to south shields on a royal visit and tested out the waxing station

Future Sustainability
Barbours mission for these stations where to re use old jackets and add the ability of re waxing once the jackets get worn down in the hopes of keep keeping jackets going rather than being disposed of.
